Ammie’s trip to Barbizon, France is what initially sparked the inspiration for this dining room. As she was traveling through the north of central France, entranced by what she saw, Ammie discovered the impact of a pure, natural scenery.

As you walk into the dining room, you are greeted with a scenic hand painted mural depicting a tranquil European landscape. The monochromatic tableau brings nature indoors and provides an exquisite balance of nature to comfort guests as they enter. The feeling provoked by the mural is there to enhance any dining experience that takes place within this very room.

This French traditional dining room features various hints of Asian culture. Touches of oriental influence can be found scattered around the room including the blue “Bojagi,” that sits atop the dining set. “Bojagi,” is a Korean traditional wrapping technique using organza fabric for cherished items.

Additionally, the space features an abundance of antique pieces from around the globe. A French colonial, Indo-Chinese dining table from the 1930’s and an elm sideboard that originates from Hebei, China in the 19th century truly adds a unique, one-of-a-kind quality to the room. This dining room is the ideal area to host tasteful events.
